Choose Shared Device
Tell Shellimit that the parent and child will use the same Android phone or tablet.
Create the Parent PIN
Set a four-digit PIN that protects the switch back to Parent Mode and parent controls.
Enable protection
Complete Usage Access, Accessibility Protection and Notification & Media Protection.
Set time and allowed apps
Choose the daily limit and decide which user-installed apps remain available in Child Mode.
Enter Child Mode
Hand over the device. Shellimit tracks the Child Mode session and keeps parent controls behind the PIN.
THE DAILY ROUTINE
Switch modes without
mixing parent and child use.
Before handing over: review the limit and allowed apps, confirm protection is active, then enter Child Mode.
When the device returns: use the Parent PIN to leave Child Mode and return to your normal phone experience.
